Patricia McCarthy is a senior marketing and public relations consultant specializing in counseling health care, education, professional service and non-profit organizations. McCarthy founded her firm in 1992.

McCarthy is a highly creative results-oriented executive with a successful track record in strategic marketing and communications, market research, advertising, public relations, advocacy, and community affairs. Prior to forming her consulting firm, McCarthy served as Vice President, Market Communications and Community Affairs for Henry Ford Health System where she was responsible for positioning the system --- including the then 1,000-member Henry Ford Medical Group --- at the local and national level. She later served as a consultant to The Detroit Medical Center.

McCarthy served for eight years as the spokesperson for a national campaign initiated by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and sustained by the Michigan Cover the Uninsured Network to secure health coverage for 46 million uninsured Americans.

In 2002, McCarthy was appointed by Governor John Engler to the State Officers Compensation Commission for the State of Michigan.

In 2003, McCarthy formed McCarthy Blanchard LLC in conjunction with Paula Blanchard Stone. In 2015, McCarthy merged McCarthy Blanchard's presentation skills and executive presence training firm into McCarthy Marketing & Public Relations upon the retirement of her partner.
